Inertial mass is a measure of the resistance of an entity to a change in its velocity relative to an inertial frame.
Gravitational mass is the mass of an object measured using the effect of a gravitational field on the object.

In GR, Einstein nu a echivalat masa inertiala cu cea gravifica ci, mai mult, a postulat faptul ca e imposibil de distins intre un cimp gravific uniform si o accelerare uniforma. Deci el nu postuleaza ca masele sint egale ci ca ele sint fundamental IDENTICE!
