Asta-i a mea, in Pix, procesata asa cum urmeaza:

Linear processing:
* Dynamic Background Extraction - very few spots on the dusty part at the left of the nebula
* Photometric Color Calibration - on M42 as target, pixel size 4 nanometers, FL 750mm, using top right corner to background neutralize at cutoff 0.003
* EZNoiseReduction - default settings

Nonlinear:
* Arcsinh stretch blackpoint 0.0025 stretch factor 250
* 1 more DBE layer
* Histogram transformation stretch shadows 0.175 mids 0.35
* ACDNR on chrominance only, stdev 4,6 iterations, lightness mask
* fix high-saturation on background: extract luminance, apply histogram stretch to it: shadows 0.06, highlights 0.32, midtones 0.37, then blur it with a trous wavelet transform (remove the first 4 layers). With mask on, desaturate v strongly
* EZStarReduction - 2 iterations, using the Adam Block method
* local histogram equalization. Contrast 1.5: kernel 512 - 33% mix with original, then kernel 256 - 25% mix, then kernel 128, 1/6 mix
* sharpen with multiscale median transform - 6 layers, biases 0.05 0.05 0.025 0.025 0.012 0.005
* another EZNoiseReduction pass, default settings

GunDALF, tu cu ce ai facut-o si ce i-ai facut?
