Timpii de expunere nu se adauga asa simplu, aritmetic, ci statistic, luand in calcul si zgomotele de naturi diferite, intr-un mod destul de complex.

Dar mai pe scurt, cadrele RGB au mai multa informatie de culoare (crominanta), iar cele L adauga contrast monocromatic (SNR mai bun pe luminanta).

Explicatia cu UV si IR nu prea sta in picioare:
To find the answers to these 3 questions, I selected exposures from a deeper data set taken under excellent conditions with my 12.5" f/5.1 Newtonian and a ST-10XME. The RGB filters (transmission) are standard SBIG filters, the L filter (transmission) is from Astronomik and its bandbass is from 390 nm to 670 nm.
