Ideea unui binoclu gigant este interesantă, însă cât în plus ar aduce față de folosirea unui binocular la un telescop ?

uite ce zice Chriske de pe Cloudy Nights

"I've build a few binos myself so far, one 6' two 10".
This very moment busy building two other binos(at the same time.). One 10" f/25 DK and a 20" f/5 Newt.
The views or more than pleasing, that I can assure you. You will be glad you've done it once you look through one. When I looked through one the very first time myself I new I would never build a single scope (for personal observing) ever again. Care must be taken the focal lenght of the scopes are identical (or almost). The longer the focal lenghts of the scope the more critical this problem becomes. In the process of building a bino, while grinding polishing, you completely have the process in your owne hand. In case of my 10" DK project I polish 4 sets of mirrors simultaneously. This will be done using the same pitch for all mirrors. At the end of the process I'll choose the best matching sets of mirrors to have the two scopes identical, no problem there.

In your case using two commercial scopes, hope for the best. Maybe, just maybe, both the focal lenght of the two scopes are identical, or near. For a 'short' Newt an error of (about) 0.5 % is allowed. The brain will not allow larger errors. I don't know the exact figure for a long focus bino (21')....yet..

In the past I've compared the views, real bino (two scope) with binoviewers side by side. NO way you can compare these two at all..! With two scopes there's a gain in all aspects of observing : light, color, contrast, resolving power. You even get a 3D effect as a bonus. It's really stunning to see this effect. This so called 3D is nothing more than the result of the two sepparate air-tunnels you're looking through. Very nice btw.

To be clear on the matter using a binoviewer observing will become relaxed compared with single-eye observing, very true. But nothing will ever beat real binos...!

Just do it...!"
