The largest component of Earth's nutation has a period of 18.6 years, the same as that of the precession of the Moon's orbital nodes.

Este interesant ca nodurile lunare (care se afla oricum in planul ecliptic) se regasesc si in planul ecuatorial in apropierea punctelor vernal si autumnal. Din punct de vedere astrologic - se pot gasi usor cateva tabele - aceasta s-ar traduce prin ascendent (sau descendent) in Berbec (sau Balanta).
